TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Pier01 will hold a tentative reservation for a maximum of two (2) weeks, thereafter management reserve the right to cancel the booking and allocate the venue to another client if confirmation is not received.
Confirmation & Deposit
Confirmation of a function booking must be made by payment of a $500 deposit which will be refunded at the conclusion of the event.
Anticipated final numbers are requested seven (7) days prior to the function date. Final numbers are required three (3) days prior to the funcion. This final number will represent the minimum number of guests for which the function organiser will be charged.
Food & Beverage
All funtions requiring alcohol must have food provided by Pier01 in accordance with the laws regarding Responsible Service of Alcohol. Special requests (such as birthday cakes, vintage wines, BYO etc.) shall be handled and distributed by Pier01 staff and will attract a surcharge.
Details of the food and beverage selections must be finalised 21 days prior to the function date. Special dietary requirements should also be communicated 21 days prior to the function date.
Commencement & Vacating Areas
The organiser must begin the function no earlier than at the scheduled time agreed upon with Pier01. Functions are to terminated at the end of the agreed time frame of the package. Any extensions beyond this agreed time with incur additional charges.
Children Under 18
Any children under the age of 18 attending a function at Pier01 must vacate the premises by midnight in accordance with the Liquor Licensing Laws. All children under the age of 18 require adult supervision at all times.
It is understood that the organiser will conduct the function in an orderly manner in full complianc with Pier01 regulations and laws. Management reserves the right, without liability, to exclude or eject any person(s) whose demeanor or behaviour is deemed to be inappropriate or objectionable. Service of alcohol will be ceased at the discetion of management in accordance with the laws regarding Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Organisers are financially responsible for any damages, breakages or loss of Pier01 property or equipment by the organiser, organiser's guests, invitees or other persons attending the function. Pier01 does not accept any responsibility forthe damage or loss of property left on the premise prior, during or after the function.
Audio Visual Equipment
The use of specialty equipment during a function must be advised at least seven (7) days prior to the function date. Organisers are financially responsible for any breakage or damage of equipment owned by Pier01 or sub-hired by Pier01 on behalf of the organiser(s). If time is required for the setting up of any equipment in the function room prior to the function start time, a fee may be applicabe to compensate for the loss of trade during that time. The fee may be applied to each function depending upon the circumstances and the time required.
Displays & Signage
Organisers are required to advise management of any displays, signage and/or decorations to be utilised in the function room(s). Should it be required that Pier01 set up decorations or displays on behalf of the organiser, a set up fee will appy. Only blu-tak may be used to attached items to any surface. Nothing is to be attached to any painted surface within or outside the function room(s). All displays and/or decorations must be removed at the end of the function or a cleaning fee will apply.
All accounts are to be settled prior to, or on the day, of the function unless by prior arrangement. Personal cheques will not be accepted. Payment can be made by cash, Eftpos or credit card. Surcharge applies for all credit card payments.
Deposits will only be refunded if the function is cancelled more than 30 days prior to the function, otherwise the deposit will be retained as compensation for loss of revenue.
Deposits for functions held on Saturday night during the months of January through March will not be refunded unless alternative functions are booked. Functions cancelled within 14 days of the function date will incur a payment of 50% of the agreed food charges to compensate Pier01 for loss of revenue. This chargewill not occur if an alternative function is arranged for that function date.
Termination of a Function
Should a function be discontinued by the management of Pier01, the Tasmanian Police Forces or any other relevant authority due to demeanor or behaviour of the organiser, organiser's guests, invitees or any other person attending the function, Pier01 accepts no responsibility for the refund or return of any money already received for the function and full payment will be required of any outstanding balances.
